Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Pipe Fitter to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various projects, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and industry codes. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality Process Piping and Millwright installations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and manufacturing facilities, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to contribute to essential infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems.
  • Measure, cut, thread, solder, and weld pipes using MIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding techniques, and other welding methods in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
  • Install industrial process piping assemblies on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to ensure precise fitting and assembly of piping components.
  • Perform rigging and lifting operations safely when positioning heavy pipe sections or equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently while working with schematics, tubing bending tools, and during welding or soldering tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Journeyman Pipe Fitter or in a similar role within construction or manufacturing environments.
  • Only candidates with 5+ years will be considered for candidacy
  • Pipe layout skills are a must
  • Extensive knowledge of pipe installation techniques including welding (MIG, FCAW, TIG), soldering, pipe threading, and tube bending.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and ASME codes & standards related to piping systems.
  • Hands-on experience with fire sprinkler fitting, HVAC piping installation, plumbing systems, pipeline assembly, and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, rigging equipment and other mechanical devices safely and efficiently.
  • Previous work on construction sites or industrial facilities demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills.
  • Basic math proficiency for measurements and calculations essential for precise pipe fitting.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
