Afterschool Tutor – Elementary Literacy (Spanish/English Preferred)

Bay Area Tutoring Association
Pay: Starting at $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM–5:00 PM | Friday Zoom Staff Meeting 2:30-3:30PM
Weekly Hours: Approximately 11 hours/week
Target Start Date: September 14 -November 12, 2026

Bay Area Tutoring Association is seeking enthusiastic Afterschool Tutors to support elementary students through small-group literacy instruction focused on reading, writing, and English Language Arts (ELA).

Many of our students are bilingual, and Spanish-English bilingual tutors are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity for bilingual education majors, aspiring teachers, and individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience working in schools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide small-group tutoring in reading and writing
  • Support bilingual students and English Language Learners (ELL)

  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development
