Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Florida teaching certificate
Mathematic Certification or Elementary Education Certification
Minimum of three (3) years of successful mathematics teaching experience at the elementary, middle or high school level
Additional training and/or coursework may be necessary as required by the district
Performance Responsibilities:
Coach and support classroom teachers to improve instruction and student learning
Assist teachers in backward planning process to focus instructional time on students' master of essential standards
Observe and conference with teachers posing questions for reflection regarding practices
Model or team-teach lessons
Develop standard based curriculum, resources, assessments and intervention programs for and with teachers
Collect and analyze school and district data
Facilitate professional development in content, lesson planning, instructional strategies, assessments and the implementation of the Sunshine State Standards
Facilitate Mathematics Leadership Team meetings and study groups
Assist in the development of a district-wide instructional focus calendar
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisors of Curriculum and/or designee
