Job description

This posting is LIFT grant-funded for the 2026/2027 school year. ย Full-time and Part-time applicants are encouraged to apply.

Primary Purpose:

Provides coaching and support to assigned K-8 Math classroom teachers to ensure growth in teachers' proficiency with Bluebonnet Math curriculum implementation. Work collaboratively with campus administrators and instructional coach to provide supplemental classroom and professional support.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Valid Texas teaching certificate in Mathematics
  • Master's degree from accredited university, preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
  • Ability to interpret data for the purpose of evaluating and enhancing instruction
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with teaching Bluebonnet Math curriculum, preferred

Experience:

  • Three (3) years teaching experience in Math
  • Demonstrated teacher leadership

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Staff Development and Support

  1. Directly assist assigned K-8 Math teachers in the classroom and during planning as they implement Bluebonnet Math curriculum.
  2. Work collaboratively with assigned K-8 Math teachers and the campus leadership to establish measurable progress goals for both student learning and the teacher's individual development.
  3. Support the continuous professional growth and improvement of teacher instructional skills through coaching and collaborative problem solving.
  4. Model teaching strategies with students in classroom when appropriate, provide feedback and coaching to teachers to facilitate implementation of new practices.
  5. Provide informal, ongoing professional development to teachers at point of need. Provide formal professional development as requested by administration.
  6. Participate as requested in Bluebonnet Math and LIFT trainings, and other professional development such as instructional coaching practices.
  7. Use effective communication skills to present accurate information clearly and engage adult learners.

Other

  1. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required for district and LIFT grant requirements.
  2. Establish and maintain open communication with teachers, campus administrators, and central administrators. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
  3. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
  4. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
