Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Teachers Aide to join our team! You will assist in leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs. Daily tasks will include: preparing meals, assisting with toileting and bathroom breaks, supporting the lead classroom teacher in creating and implementing strategies based on specific academic or emotional goals, and ensuring the classroom space is ready for the students. 
This float position will require you to be willing to move between our preschool and child care facilities. Experienc working with infants/toddlers/preschoolers is a MUST. 

You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment. 

Responsibilities
  • Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum
  • Teach beginning reading and math skills
  • Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
  • Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
  • Communicate with parents and other school personnel
  • Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year consecutive experience in a childcare/preschool setting
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
    • Familiarity with play based learning and emergent curriculum a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • We use an app called Brightwheel to communicate with our familes and staff
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
    • All licensing certifications up to date: CBR enrollment, CPR/First Aid, food handlers card, and other required trainings. 
    • Willingness for continued education is a must!
