Job Description Our Client, prominent private foundation dedicated to advancing fundamental research across mathematics, the physical sciences, and computational biology, is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join their NYC based team on full time basis. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role responsible for owning technical direction and execution, mentoring a small team of software engineers, and collaborating closely with computational biologists and researchers to translate cutting-edge science into robust, production-grade software tools. Responsibilities Serve as technical lead for the platform, guiding architecture, feature development, and major infrastructure upgrades Lead and mentor a team of full stack software engineers across code quality, workflows, and professional development Design, develop, and optimize scalable genomics data processing pipelines Integrate machine learning methods into production pipelines for heterogeneous biological datasets Establish and enforce engineering best practices: coding standards, version control, documentation, testing, and CI/CD Collaborate cross-functionally with computational biologists, data scientists, and external partners Evaluate emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure, bioinformatics, and scientific computing Minimum Qualifications B.S
