Job description

The CNC Technician is responsible for creation of programs for CNC equipment.
  • Investigates and recommends changes to shop floor production processes involving CNC equipment.
  • Follow engineering specifications.
  • Coach machine operators in the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Serve as a liaison with maintenance, engineering, support staff and operators to ensure equipment is best utilized.
  • Document necessary information.
  • Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized.
  • Recommend/approve/make changes to improve efficiencies and equipment utilization.
  • Identify training opportunities within the team and set actions for improvement.
  • Able to use required CAD systems (AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, Solid Edge)
  • Ability to use manual wood working machinery (table/band saw, router, drills, sanders, etc)

Experience
  • Two years CAD/CAM experience preferred
  • One year 3D modeling experience preferred

  • Must have superior computer programing skills
  • Must have ability to write and read complex drawings
  • Must have ability to read blueprints
  • Must be highly detail oriented
