Job Description:

Position Overview:

As a Software Engineer at Parsons, you will join a fast-paced team supporting mission-critical requirements for the Department of War and United States Army. Become part of a diverse group of 500 professionals deliveringexpertisein software development, systems integration, and technical innovation across Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood, Maryland, for a portfolio of efforts spanning 5 years and a total value exceeding $600 million. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with strong programming skills, adept at designing andmaintainingscalable, modular software solutions that drive Army modernization and support to the warfighter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs to meet user and mission needs.

  • Analyze user requirements and develop software solutions using principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

  • Design, implement, andmaintainsoftware infrastructure, APIs, and data models to enable interoperability and seamless information exchange.

  • Write modular, scalable, and platform-agnostic codein accordance withMOSA design strategies and open standards such as ISA.

  • Integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and define performance requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Apply modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) andparticipatein configuration and change management processes.

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, andexpertisetoassistproject teams with product integration and compliance with data standards.

  • Maintain databases and support the full software development lifecycle, including testing, documentation, and release management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's toMaster'sdegree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).

  • 0-10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

  • TS/SCI is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with programming concepts and modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting is highly desirable.

  • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification preferred for advanced levels.

  • Experience with configuration management, change management, and product release processes is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance ifrequired.
