Job description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Math/Science Teacher role located in Manchester, NH. The teacher will design and deliver standards-aligned math and science lessons that engage students in critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning. Daily responsibilities include planning instructional activities, assessing student progress, differentiating instruction for varied learning needs, and maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance. The role includes collaborating with colleagues on curriculum and interventions, communicating regularly with families and caregivers, and participating in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. The teacher is expected to create a safe, respectful classroom environment that supports diverse learners and adheres to district policies and state education guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of middle or high school mathematics and science content, including current curriculum standards and best practices in STEM instruction.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans that support diverse learning styles and academic levels.
  • Skill in classroom management, creating inclusive learning environments, and fostering positive student relationships.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and data to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; appropriate New Hampshire teaching certification or eligibility for certification in math and/or science.
  • Commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and support for multilingual learners and students with varying needs.
  • Prior classroom teaching experience in math or science is preferred; experience in an urban or diverse school setting is a plus.
