What you'll do
  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning and statistical models using health and wellbeing datasets to generate actionable insights
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical workflows on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery
  • Develop and deploy agentic AI systems that autonomously reason, plan, and act across complex health data environments
  • Create compelling, interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Looker, and Power BI to communicate insights to clinical and business stakeholders
  • Conduct rigorous mathematical modelling to support predictive analytics, risk stratification, and population health management
  • Develop and present ROI calculations and business impact analyses to quantify the value of data science initiatives and health interventions
  • Experience communicating complex mathematical analyses and models to a lay audience in a business setting
  • Partner with clinical, product, and engineering teams to define data science requirements and translate business problems into analytical solutions
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and privacy compliance in alignment with PIPEDA, PHIPA, GDPR, and other applicable health data regulations
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of analytical excellence and continuous learning
  • Stay current with emerging trends in health AI, generative AI, and data science methodologies
Qualifications

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field
  • 3-6+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles
  • Demonstrated experience working with health and wellbeing data (e.g., EHR, claims, biometric, mental health, or wellness program data)
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow
  • Strong experience building dashboards and reports in Tableau, Looker, and/or Power BI
  • Proven experience in developing agentic AI systems, including multi-agent architectures, LLM orchestration, and tool-use frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI)
  • Strong foundation in mathematical modelling, including statistical inference, optimization, simulation, and predictive modelling techniques
  • Experience conducting ROI analyses and translating analytical findings into business value narratives for executive audiences
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R, with experience in libraries such as scikit-learn, or similar
  • Solid understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements in healthcare contexts
