Systems Engineer ( Modeling and Simulation) Employee Owned and Best Places to Work Contractor Onsite in Huntsville, AL | Schedule : 9x80 Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 Systems Engineer to support development of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA's) Ground-Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) program on the GWS program Responsibilities: * Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy software products that support automated test and verification efforts * Contribute to software development activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment * Partner with product teams to develop technical solutions that support program objectives * Support Agile development activities and participate in team execution using collaboration and configuration management tools Qualifications: * U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law * Active Secret Clearance required * Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution and 5+ years of experience * Experience estimating planning and scheduling Algorithm development and Analysis work for a technical team * Recent and extensive MATLAB and Python Experience/proficiency * Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and absorb new concepts * Proven experience in developing, prototyping and evaluating complex algorithms * Extensive background in mathematics or science * Must be able to support an in-person/closed-area work environment Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with the Missile Defense Agency's Ground Based Mid Course Defense program * Advanced degree in Mathematics or Physics * Extensive experience leading trade studies or root cause analysis against any of the following: simulation frameworks, threat models, or command and control models * Experience with planning/scheduling algorithms * Experience with sensor modeling, communication modeling, and/or missile modeling * Battle Management or Fire Control experience * Experienced with Linux, scripting, and operations Full-Time position with an Employee-Owned company offering a comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Short-Term and Long-term Disability, and Life Insurance, FSA, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) Plan with company match, Tuition and Training Reimbursement, and Incentive Compensation.
