Job description

New Tech Global is currently seeking a QC/QA Lab Technician in Houston, Texas.
Overview
  • Test raw materials and finished product batches according to established standard operating procedures.
  • Perform quality testing of finished products produced internally and by third parties.
  • Inspect incoming finished goods and production lines and collect retention samples as required.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results, and quality documentation.
  • Assist with QA/QC investigations, product complaint investigations, and related research and development activities.
  • Assist with management of sample projects and immediate laboratory needs.
  • Support laboratory safety by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Chemical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic chemistry and math.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous quality control experience and/or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in both laboratory/office and warehouse environments, including exposure to typical warehouse temperatures and noise.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform job duties.
  • Must be able to work a rotating bi-weekly schedule consisting of one five-day workweek and one four-day workweek.
  • Must be available to work 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
