JOB OPPORTUNITY
JOB TITLE: Instructional/Intervention Aide
SITE LOCATION OF POSITION: Standard Middle School
TERM/HOURS OF POSITION: 5.75 Hours Per Day
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Under the supervision of the site administrator and the direction of a certificated staff member, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a program for the regular and special needs of children in the classroom.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  1. Associate's degree, two years of study at an institute of higher learning, or have met formal academic assessment required by No Child Left Behind Act.
  2. CPR training. Special Knowledge/Skills:
  3. Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
  4. Ability to work well with children
  5. Ability to communicate effectively

Experience:
  • Background to include activities that involve students and an interest in working with school age children.
  • Experience working in an instructional environment.
  • Experience or education in the areas of child development.

SALARY: Range 8, $17.33 - $21.64 per hour based on 10 steps. (Additional $0.32 in lieu of benefits).
