Nature of Work:The Colorado Rapids Academy Audi Online School Program Academic Advisor Intern will support the Academy Head of School in providing academic support to approximately 60 High School aged Academy players. The core curriculum will be delivered via an online school platform. The Academic Advisor intern will support the Academy Head of School in monitoring and supporting the students in their daily academic activities, as well as assisting the facilitation of extra-curricular sessions, during the school block.
Examples of work performed:
  • Support Head of School with student online school platform enrollment.
  • Supervise and monitor students during school block
  • Advise & monitor students' progress and grades through online school
  • Recording players attendance and absence
  • Conduct weekly student check-in sessions
  • Support Head of School in implementing school policies and processes
  • Assist in creating and facilitating extra-curricular workshops and activities
  • Support student progress towards High School Graduation & NCAA eligibility.
  • Liaise with coaching staff to ensure athletic, academic & holistic growth of the student

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, High School Counseling, or a related field.
    • Teaching Experience
    • Familiarity with NCAA eligibility requirements, high school graduation requirements, and post-secondary academic pathways (college, trade school, professional).
    • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including but rarely, some evenings and weekends, to align with the academy training and competition schedule.
    • Passion for the sport and interest in contributing to a high-performance environment that integrates academic and athletic development.
  • Preferred skills:
    • High school teaching experience
    • Expertise in a subject area, for example Math, Language Arts.
    • Proficiency in Spanish
    • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

Compensation:
  • Base hourly range $19.29 per hour

Working Hours:
  • 9am-3:30pm, Tuesday-Friday. These hours may vary slightly depending on needs of the Academy.
