Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Pathway Instructor(s) and CTE staff and faculty to monitor student progress and credential attainment and support transition into Perkins eligible CTE programs of study.
Responsible for the Adult Education Instruction component of Workforce IET programs, consisting of academic remediation in reading and math skills, as well as basic soft skills instruction supporting the integration of academic, technical skills, and student success in Workforce IET and Perkins eligible CTE pathways.
Track Industry Based Credentials and alignment pathways for initiatives and report to Data Analyst
Schedule all pre-and post-assessment dates for students enrolled in pathway or Workforce program in coordination with program instructor
Assess program students using the TABE 13/14 test as dictated by Adult Education Program policy
Update SIS (Student Information System) with all pre- and post-assessments, attendance, and credentials
Create online user accounts for students who show a need for contextualized academic remediation in reading, writing, or math skills
Monitor student distance learning hours in online software and enter any distance learning hours into SIS
Solicits student feedback on and experience with adult education pathway courses and Workforce trainings, including Perkins supported CTE activities, to identify barriers to access, retention, completion, and credential attainment.
Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students which enhance basic education skills in digital literacy, health literacy, and/or financial literacy and support contextualized academic instruction aligned with career pathways and technical skill development.
Schedule and deliver community education workshops based on needs assessments in local communities within Region 8
Support outreach, recruitment, retention, and completion efforts for special populations and other CTE students participating in Perkins supported programs and career pathways.
This position requires travel to all the LDCC Campuses on a regular basis for coordination of dual enrollment opportunities and for instruction in Workforce IET programs, as well as coordination and support of Perkins eligible CTE programs and activities.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with one (1) year of direct experience working in a college or university setting or
Associate degree from an accredited college or university with three (3) years of direct experience working in a college or university setting.
Experience working effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
