Bilingual Education Mathematics Teacher (Spanish)

Full-time high school teaching position. Minimum required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or meeting minimum requirements to be eligible for an Educator License with Stipulations (ESL) Endorsement. Licensure must include a valid Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for grades 9-12. Endorsements required are Bilingual Education - Spanish (Grades 9-12) and Mathematics (Grades 9-12). Desired qualifications include a Master's Degree and/or Doctorate Degree, previous high school teaching experience, ESL Endorsement (grades 9-12), Special Education Endorsement (LBS1), and bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish.

Essential duties and responsibilities include teaching to prescribed outcomes and goals, utilizing best practices of standards-based learning, designing and implementing coherent and rigorous instruction, involving students in learning using differentiation practices, providing remedial and enrichment material, differentiating for students with special needs, language needs, or different learning styles, communicating regularly with parents, students, counselors, and support staff, establishing a positive and safe, student-centered learning environment, and demonstrating command of assigned content areas.
