Posting Description: Secondary Math Educator
Newark Charter School seeks a Secondary Math Teacher with a strong background in mathematical principles and applications. The ideal candidate should have a relevant degree/certification in Mathematics and experience teaching at the secondary level. The candidate will be responsible for developing instructional goals that are aligned with Delaware State Standards and the mission of Newark Charter School of Excellence in Academics and Decorum. Collaborate with all stakeholders to design & implement rigorous lesson plans rooted in a deep knowledge of secondary math education. Create and select student assessments that demonstrate student learning of instructional goals and mastery of mathematical content. Creating and sustaining a positive, supportive, and collaborative learning environment that maximizes learning and encourages respect for all students is essential.
Reports to: Building Principal
Terms of Employment: 10-month Position
Salary: Commensurate with degree level and experience
Minimum Qualifications: Meets certification requirements of the State of Delaware for Teacher Secondary Mathematics
