YPPs goal is to ensure that MLWs understand that, for the purposes of equity, their work as near peer math facilitators who are from the same community as their students, is indispensable and vital to the broader education community.

- Plan (revise / create lesson plans, assign roles, collect materials)
- Practice & Professional Development (mock facilitate, give each other feedback)
- Create or Design a new game or activity
- Team building activities (with fellow MLWs, teachers, and staff)
- Review training material or math content to ensure MLW understanding
- Full participation is expected/required
