Assist with the implementation of the Gestalt Community Schools’ vision for numeracy at Power Center Academy High School. Support teachers through professional development and coaching. Implement and coach teachers using the framework for

response to Intervention in numeracy.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for organizing math trainings
  • Responsible for organizing assessment trainings
  • Assist in planning with teachers
  • Responsible for monitoring Mathematics RTI
  • Responsible for coaching PCAHS mathematics teachers
  • Responsible for frequent communication with mathematics teachers
  • Responsible for determining needs of the mathematics department
  • Responsible for creating and administering mathematics training
  • Responsible for following GCS assessment policies and expectations
  • Hold benchmark data team meetings
  • Train teachers on teacher-made test creation
  • Monitor implementation of the GCS math framework
  • Monitor math fluency and RTI data
  • Create and train data analysis for teachers
  • Create math weekly assessments as needed
  • Create and Administer math instruction Professional Development
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • 4+ Years of teaching experience at Level 4-5 with demonstrated competency of gap closure;
  • Taught high school Math or Science (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in the subject area, master's preferred;
  • Ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines;
  • Experience presenting and working with adults;
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory;
  • Ability and desire to motivate adult learners to improve professional practices;
  • Initiative to develop systems and structures to improve teacher practices within your school;
  • Strong content knowledge and teaching pedagogy;
  • Working knowledge, understanding, and belief in the GLOE & Curriculum Frameworks, Common Core;
  • State Standards and ACT College Readiness Standards;
  • Effective written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrates knowledge of iMAC and Google Drive Software, Digital Content, SchoolNet & Schoology.
