JOB OPPORTUNITY
JOB TITLE: Instructional Aide - Bilingual (Spanish/English)
SITE AND LOCATION OF POSITION: Highland Elementary School
TERM AND HOURS OF POSITION: 5.75 hours per day
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: With supervision by certificated staff, assist with small groups of Limited English Proficient (LEP) children, giving instructional assistance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two years of study at an institution of higher education, or an Associate's or higher degree, or pass a formal state or local academic assessment that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics (or reading, writing, and mathematics readiness).
  • Fluent speaker/writer of the Spanish and English languages, and ability to pass Spanish/English literacy tests.

SALARY: Range 6, $16.50 - $20.10 per hour based on 10 steps (additional $0.32 per hour in lieu of benefits).
SCREENING PROCEDURES: Review of applications and personal interviews.
