Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique mental health needs of postpartum clients, considering factors such as mood disorders and adjustment issues.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with clientsโ€™ recovery goals, documenting strategies and progress using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, and families using various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
  • Regularly evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to comply with all regulatory standards, ensuring that client records reflect current status and treatment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to coordinate care, involving pediatricians and obstetricians as needed to support holistic client wellness.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in all therapeutic practices, upholding the dignity and confidentiality of clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on postpartum women and their families, addressing a myriad of mental health issues, including postpartum depression, anxiety, and stress management. You will work closely with clients to ensure they feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current licensure in Arizona as a:
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Psychologist (PsyD)
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably with postpartum or maternal mental health specialization.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Solid understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and their application in practice.
Preferred Experience

Experience working with perinatal clients, familiarity with maternal mental health issues, and proficiency in teletherapy methods are highly desirable.
