Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Services (Materials Testing) Project Manager to oversee geotechnical earthwork, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects. This role is responsible for managing project execution, coordinating with clients and project teams, overseeing field and laboratory operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Manage construction and materials testing projects
  • Manage project budgets and meet and interact with clients and design professionals
  • Coordinate and oversee all field activities, including field technicians and inspectors
  • Visit project sites to evaluate work being performed
  • Review all project-related paperwork
  • Assist in troubleshooting project-related issues

Qualifications
Education
  • B.S., B.A., or M.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of construction materials testing and inspection experience
  • 2+ years of materials testing and inspection project management experience
  • Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in proposal preparation, including materials quantity take-offs

Desired Skills
  • Local experience and familiarity with local codes and practices
  • Understanding that this is not a general construction position

Salary range: $85,000-110,000/year, depending on qualifications
