Job description

Materials & Procurement Lead

Full-Time Exempt • Onsite-Lewisville, TX

Multiquip is seeking a strategic and proactive Materials & Procurement Lead to support our Service Plus operations by developing reliable sourcing channels, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring material availability aligns with business priorities and customer commitments.

This role combines procurement, supplier management, inventory control, and warehouse operations to support efficient service execution and business growth. The ideal candidate will bring experience in sourcing, materials management, inventory planning, and supplier coordination, along with a continuous improvement mindset and strong operational acumen.

You will serve as a key liaison between Service Plus Operations, MQ Procurement, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to improve material readiness, reduce supply risk, enhance operational efficiency, and support exceptional customer service.

What You'll Be Responsible ForStrategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support repair schedules, customer commitments, operational priorities, and long-term material planning.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve pricing, lead times, responsiveness, service levels, and material availability.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and monitor market conditions, material availability, and demand trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
  • Identify alternate suppliers, substitute materials, and expedited sourcing solutions to address supply chain disruptions.
  • Partner closely with MQ Procurement to ensure alignment with procurement policies, vendor onboarding, purchase order execution, and broader supply chain objectives.
Materials Management & Inventory Control
  • Ensure material availability by overseeing inventory management, warehouse operations, and distribution activities that support service and manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and transaction compliance through SAP and other business systems.
  • Analyze demand patterns, inventory consumption, supplier lead times, and stocking levels to improve material readiness and working capital utilization.
  • Champion inventory accuracy initiatives and continuous improvement efforts that optimize warehouse performance and storage utilization.
  • Maintain accurate records supporting procurement activities, inventory transactions, repair status updates, and customer inquiries.
Operational Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Service Managers, Service Writers, technicians, and operations teams to support material issuance, returns, warranty administration, and core recovery programs.
  • Communicate material availability, shortages, and estimated delivery dates to operational stakeholders.
  • Provide materials and sourcing support for other Service Plus locations as business needs require.
  • Support technician productivity and customer satisfaction through proactive material planning and coordination.

What We're Looking ForExperience & Education
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, materials management, inventory control, parts operations, warehouse operations, or service support environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting service organizations, manufacturing operations, or technical equipment businesses is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing, inventory management, warehouse operations, and material flow processes.
  • Experience working within SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, OneNote, and related business applications.
  • Ability to analyze inventory data, supplier performance, and operational metrics to drive informed decisions.
Leadership & Communication
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with vendors, customers, technicians, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a positive and collaborative approach.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus but not required.

  • Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels; hearing protection may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $80,000.00-$92,000.00/Yr
