What is a materials intern?

Materials Interns are students or recent graduates who work under the supervision of experienced materials engineers or scientists to gain hands-on experience in the field. They assist with tasks such as material testing, research, data analysis, and sample preparation in laboratories or industrial settings. The internship helps them apply theoretical knowledge from their studies to real-world projects, develop technical skills, and gain insight into careers in materials science or engineering. Materials Interns may also collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve material-related challenges and contribute to ongoing research and development initiatives.
