Material Handler I  

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler I to support production by managing inventory, moving materials, and maintaining accurate records. The Material Handler I ensures smooth operations and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you're ready to contribute to efficient operations and meet high-quality standards, consider becoming our next Material Handler I. 

Required Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by fulfilling workorders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.  

  • Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area and bins.  

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.  

  • Executes physical material movement supporting system adjustments and transfers.  

  • Performs material movement as required through non-conformance disposition.  

  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.  

  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering materials and supplies.  

  • Locates and packs materials for shipping.  

  • Will work with Planning to ensure that work orders are released, built, and completed as committed.  

  • Will handle the movement and documentation of materials rejected in W.I.P. and their replacement.  

  • Will assist in the issuing of labor/material to and closing of Work Orders.  

  • Identify and deal with obsolete material as it occurs.  

  • Assist in Cycle Counting.  

  • Assist to maintain AS9100 QMS systems and process.  

  • Aid in the entry of data and documentation to MRP system.  

  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.  

  • Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.  

  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.  

  • Responsible for actively promoting an ethics-based business culture in the project management organization, ensuring that all are aware of, and fully comply with, ESAero’s policies.     

Required Qualifications and Skills:  

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.   

  • APICS training and/or certification are desirable.   

  • Educated in ESD.  

Desired Qualifications and Skills:  

  • BA/BS degree desired.  

  • Knowledge of operations, program management, project management, product development, and procurement desired. Demonstrated ability to make decisions and formulate and execute alternative plans when the need arises.  

  • Ability to work well with others to accomplish tasks in support of the production plan and meet shipping deadlines.  

  • Must be proficient in Excel and have some familiarity with SharePoint and ERP systems.  

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing organization as a planner/expeditor or material control specialist.  

  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing is preferred.
