Job Summary
Supports the Inventory Control Team located in the new Perris, CA Distribution Center. Responsible for receiving product from vendors for quality control, maintaining the daily schedule of audits, managing inventory reports and help ensure the overall accuracy of the warehouse inventory
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Records all adjustments, pallet audits, store discrepancies and warehouse pulling discrepancies and reports them weekly
  • Reviews cycle counts.
  • Tracks discrepancies.
  • Ensure 100% inventory accuracy
  • Receives products from vendors to check for quality.
  • Train junior Inventory Control associates.
  • Coordinate and develop inventory analysis process.
  • Develop or assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and accurate inventory.

Nature and Scope
  • Problems are typically difficult and/or high impact. Troubleshoots complex support or operational problems for junior level associates.
  • Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.

Work Environment
  • Usually located in a comfortable environment but may have regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort, such as dust, fumes, or odors.
  • Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience
  • Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas. Generally 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, auditing, and inventory reconciliation in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Strong understanding of inventory accuracy processes, discrepancy investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
  • Proficiency with inventory management, ERP, warehouse management (WMS), or reporting systems; advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Experience analyzing inventory trends, generating reports, and using data to improve inventory accuracy and operational performance
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and support inventory control associates while promoting best practices and process compliance
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely; certification preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining data accuracy
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is a plus
