Join our SIMOS Team!
We are looking for Sanitation Associates. In this position, you will be responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation procedures on production equipment and facility areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. This role follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documents sanitation activities, and communicates progress and any non-routine issues to supervisors or managers. Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid, and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient, or warm in summer months, depending on the facility. Sanitation associates must have at least 6 months of warehouse experience.
Shifts:
  • Monday -Thursday 7:00 pm to 5:30 am
  • Thursday - Sunday 7:00 pm to 5:30 am

General Labor Associate
We also have a variety of General Labor openings throughout the facility. Previous manufacturing experience isn't needed! What is important is a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment! You might be mixing products, weighing/scaling material, packaging material, or supplying our lines with product. Whatever role you are assigned to, you will need to be reliable and able to work within industry standard Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) at all times. Some of the GMP's will vary by location (i.e., artificial nails/eyelashes, nail polish, jewelry, etc., cannot be worn while producing and/or packaging food products).
Shift:
  • Monday - Friday start time is between 6:30 am and 5:00 pm

Work Environment:
  • This is a manufacturing environment, and there will be exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
  • This is a team environment; all employees must be able to work together and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and work with your hands throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to lift at least 25lbs.
  • Depending on the location, our environments can be very cold or very warm.

Job Responsibilities
Sanitation:
  • Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
  • Wet washes rooms and production lines.
  • Completes required reporting to reflect activity.
  • Advises the supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Able to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Group Lead and/or the Sanitation Supervisor.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be capable of being productive on third-shift scheduling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop, or crouch. In addition, some facilities are multi-level and may require ascending or descending stairs.
  • The employee may occasionally move up to 45-50 pounds with a hoist, pallet-jack, or cart, and regularly lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Some of the GMP's will vary by location (i.e., artificial nails/eyelashes, nail polish, jewelry, etc., cannot be worn while producing and/or packaging food products).

General Labor:
  • Inspect the product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
  • Supply production lines as needed.
  • Responsible for the correct placement of product on the line or in containers, boxes, or pallets.
  • Maintains the work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Must be knowledgeable in GMPs or have the willingness to learn.
  • Sufficient math skills.
  • Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to read and write in English preferred.
  • Some of the GMP's will vary by location (i.e., artificial nails/eyelashes, nail polish, jewelry, etc., cannot be worn while producing and/or packaging food products).
  • Ability to stand and work with your hands throughout the duration of the shift.
