Job description

Warehouse Associate

Job Summary: Responsible for processing miscellaneous warehouse functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Unloading incoming shipments and checking their paperwork, such as purchase orders
  • Inspecting shipments for damaged or missing products
  • Organizing items and storing them in the correct location
  • Picking and transporting items to fulfill orders
  • Packing, labeling and documenting items for outgoing shipping
  • Processing and documenting returns and reshelving items
  • Entering incoming and outgoing items into warehouse management systems (WMS) like Oracle WMS
  • Operating machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks and automated systems
  • Cleaning and organizing warehouse work areas to support fire safety, such as designating areas for flammable materials
  • Participating in occasional audits and inventory counts

Qualifications:

  • Education equivalent to completion of high school.
  • Must be able to work with little or no direct supervision.
  • Analytic ability to pre-identify possible problems
  • Mathematically inclined.
  • Able to communicate orally in the English and Spanish language
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions in the English and Spanish language
  • Solve problems using sound judgment.
  • Perform simple arithmetical computations with speed and accuracy.

Tools & Equipment:

  • Zebra scanning.
  • Manual pallet jack.
  • Electric pallet jack.

Acceptable Experience: 1 year of experience in similar position in manufacturing environment. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Environmental Factors:

Work occasional inside/outside in a non-climate controlled conditions

Occasional exposure to load noises
