Job description

Construction Materials Testing Technician
TSIT team is looking for a full-time Construction Materials Testing Technician for our Leander office. For this position, we are looking for qualified applicants with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of construction materials testing. Technician must be able to travel to construction sites and take care of assigned company vehicle and equipment at all times.
Responsibilities:
Field testing of construction materials including soil, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt as well as construction observation in a safe manner.
Work under close supervision of higher level technician or staff professionals
Willingness to learn and assist with assigned tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Ability to adapt to changing job requirements.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with project managers, clients, contractors, site inspectors, and technical staff.
Ability to timely amp; accurately report sample locations and test results.
Ability to work variable hours as requested including nights and weekends.
Minimum Requirements:
One (1) year of Construction Materials Testing experience
Valid Driver License (With lt; 2 moving violations in last year)
High School or GED
Ability to pass Pre-employment Background and Drug screening.
Ideal Candidate will have one or more of the following:
Current ACI Field Certification or NICET Level 2 Concrete
TxAPA SB 102 or NICET Level 2 Soils
TxAPA 1A, 1B or NICET Level 2 Asphalt
Ability to pass Airport and School District background screening.
