Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
Resonant is looking for an Survivability/LO Engineer candidate to join a multi-discipline engineering team that supports stealth technology design and measurement. We are seeking engineers with education and experience to work in a fast-paced environment analyzing, developing, building, and testing aircraft models, component models such as radomes and antennas and supporting many functions that enable these activities.

What you will be doing: As a member of the Survivability team you will be working to deliver signature simulations and test data to customers, while joining discussions on how to improve overall designs.

The selected Engineer should have well-developed skills in the following areas:
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams to produce hardware such as test fixturing and measurement targets
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to interface professionally with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to distill large datasets into professional reports and briefs
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of RF phenomena; MATLAB, Python, experience a plus
  • Experience with, or interest in using HFSS, CST, FEKO or similar modeling software
The following experience is desirable:
  • Experience in performing RCS or antenna gain measurements
  • Knowledge of materials testing methods or experience working in an RF test range
  • Experience in the design, manufacturing, and testing of LO vehicles, components, and test models. Experience with maintenance and sustainment of operational LO platforms a plus.
  • Experience using network analyzers or radar
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar field.
  • Preferred 2-5 years of experience working on fielded aircraft technology, or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, or Physics specializing in materials modeling and simulation, or electromagnetic simulation
  • Eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance. Active clearance is preferred. TS is a plus.
  • Comfortable interfacing with other engineers and customers to discuss project approaches
Writing and communication skills with experience contributing to and/or making technical presentations to internal and external customers
CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret security clearance. Special Access Program experience preferred.
