Job description

SUMMARY: Picks and packs orders for shipping to customers and receives and stocks inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs all aspects of packing orders:
    • Box assembly
    • Filling box with items per order, scanning each item into system for accuracy
    • Fill with protective packing materials if necessary
    • Seal and label box for shipping
    • Ensures accurate preparation of packages as required by various hazardous material regulations
    • Use scanner/computer/printer for processing shipments
  • Performs all aspects of picking orders:
    • Per the order, locate the item on a shelf, scan item, and pull for packing
    • Utilize the DHR to pick raw materials for the kit assembly area, including documenting lot #s and expiration dates (if applicable).
    • Picking items may require the use of a cart, pallet jack or forklift
    • Use hand-held scanner for scanning items and locations
  • Performs all aspects of receiving items into warehouse:
    • Match receiving ticket with order and check to see if all items have arrived
    • Document incoming inspection to validate no damage to product
    • Produce labels for each item and label accordingly
    • Appropriately document unused raw materials from the kit assembly area being returned to the warehouse
    • Enter item into system, and put in the warehouse location on shelf, etc.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists with periodic cycle counting of warehouse inventory.
  • Produce fingerprint powder utilizing appropriate PPE.
  • Assists with cleaning of warehouse, and keeping it organized.
  • Complies with all Company policies (i.e. personnel, PPE, safety, etc.).
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. (Such duties may or may not be essential functions of the job.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read
  • Ability to understand and read written procedures and policies, etc.
  • Ability to transport packages up to 70 pounds frequently each day
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack
  • Good Communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Basic computer experience required
  • Fork-lift certification a plus

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
