The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring material availability while optimizing inventory performance across assigned product lines. This role is responsible for translating customer demand into executable supply plans to ensure the right materials are available in the right place and at the right time. This role combines tactical execution with strategic analysis by leveraging SAP, MRP, and data analytics to support inventory optimization and improve on-time delivery performance in alignment with LLP. The Material Planner partners cross-functionally to support operational excellence. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and manage material supply by creating and maintaining purchase orders, production orders, and planning master data to meet customer requirements and OTD target.
  • Utilize SAP MRP and planning tools to ensure material availability while meeting customer delivery and production objectives.
  • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Engineering, Customer Service, and suppliers to resolve material constraints and support operational objectives.
  • Analyze demand patterns, inventory trends, and planning performance to identify inventory optimization opportunities.
  • Regularly review and optimize planning parameters including reorder points, safety stock, lead times, lot sizes, and order quantities to improve inventory performance and service levels aligned with MRD.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of planning master data (e.g., material master, planning parameters, lead times, sourcing data, and purchasing information records) to ensure effective MRP execution.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory while minimizing stock-out risk.
  • Monitor key planning and inventory KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, ECRs, and supply chain improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, inventory management, or supply chain.
  • Strong SAP MRP experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAโ€™s):
  • Strong SAP and MRP knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Manufacturing knowledge processes such as Kanban.
  • Understanding of inventory optimization principles
  • Time management skills to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Customer-service orientation. Strives to proactively address customer concerns and needs.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
