As an Ingalls Material Man, you perform a variety of tasks in connection with the receipt, storage, and issuance of storeroom of electrical materials. Receive, check, store, kit, and validate electrical material of all types in accordance with the established supply systems, procedures, and methods. Your work keeps "America's Shipyard" moving every single day.

What You Can Earn

• Earn up to $32.45 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

• Opportunities for overtime and long‑term advancement.

What You’ll Do

• Material management, including:

– Receipt of inventory using the system of records

– Storage

– Issuance of inventory

– Perform inventory management reconciliation

• Work in an active shipyard environment that may involve varying conditions, heights, and warehouses.

• Maintain safety practices that meet — and often exceed — industry standards.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in material management

• Basic to advanced computer skills

• Knowledge and management of inventory control systems

• Commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork

Must Have

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of material handling or related shipyard experience.

Nice to Have

Forklift, computer, communication, organizational and warehousing/IPS skills preferred.
