POSITION SUMMARY:
The Material Handler manages the movement, storage, and control of raw materials and finished products within the Theradaptive facility. Supply production lines, organize inventory, operate machinery like forklifts, lift trucks, pallet jacks, etc. and prepare products for shipping to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to production stations to maintain workflow.
  • Assist with ownership and reconciliation of Materials Management trackers.
  • Track inventory following established procedures, perform cycle counts, and report shortages.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, safely transport items using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.
  • Inspect, receive, and document incoming materials while preparing finished goods for shipping.
  • Stack and store items in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
  • Ensure manufacturing process documentation is organized and scanned.
  • Ensure parts are appropriately packaged and labeled with data attached per customer requirements or industry's best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet material movement requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace (housekeeping) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2-6 years in Materials Management supply chain, Cold Chain, logistics, distribution, international shipping requirements or other related experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in Pharma/Biotech or related industry in support of a GMP-compliant manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., MES, ERP systems, Microsoft Office).
  • Experience with the standards, practices and guidelines relevant to a pharmaceutical and cGMP environment required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other Materials Management colleagues and the various departmental customers. Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on assignments and seek assistance as needed to meet operational needs.
  • Skills at organizing/balancing multiple projects simultaneously to meet business timelines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
WORK SCHEDULES:
  • Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required are necessary.
POSITION LOCATION:
  • 100% On-site at Theradaptive corporate headquarters and laboratories in Frederick, MD.
COMPENSATION RANGE:
  • $40,000 - $53,000 annually, based on qualifications and level.
