MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent (BA or BS preferred)
  • At least 5 years' experience in shipping / receiving environment.
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of UPS Tracking World Ship software, FedEx Ship Manager and MAPICS / INFOR a plus.
  • Logistics experience in Import / Export
  • Knowledgeable in Incoterms

ABOUT THE JOB!
The Material Handling & Logistics Supervisor will supervise and coordinate activities of receiving, inventory, issuing, shipping materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. This position manages movement of finished goods and parts within the stockroom.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs daily management of material handling, shipping, receiving, and data entry.
  • Manage layout of stockroom considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
  • Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping materials.
  • Maintain and review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.
  • Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
  • Support and drive continuous process improvement
  • Process both customer and vendor returns as required
  • Support cycle count program to determine Root Cause and implement Corrective Action for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
  • Determines and documents work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Works with Buyers to resolve invoicing and receipt issues
  • Manage department to planned budget
  • Review and coordinates logistics on both import and export of goods with Supply Chain.
  • Works closely with Sales/Customer service to support customer orders and requests
  • Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required.
