Warehouse Associate

Location: Zwart Systems / AdeptAg

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role

The Warehouse Associate supports the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. This role plays a key part in ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and a safe working environment.

Working closely with the Operations and Warehouse teams, the Warehouse Associate ensures products are handled accurately and delivered on time to support both internal operations and customer needs.

This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and Inventory Control

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Verify items against packing slips and report discrepancies
  • Store products in appropriate locations while maintaining organization and safety
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
  • Perform regular stock checks and assist with inventory management and reconciliation

Order Fulfillment and Shipping

  • Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment in accordance with customer orders and company procedures
  • Ensure orders are accurate and packaged safely to prevent damage
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required
  • Support efficient and timely order processing and shipment preparation

Warehouse Operations

  • Operate forklifts and reach trucks to move materials safely within the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure the efficient flow of goods
  • Support other warehouse functions and operational priorities as required

Safety and Compliance

  • Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse protocols
  • Comply with applicable health and safety requirements, including the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe material-handling practices
  • Report hazards, incidents, equipment concerns, or unsafe conditions promptly
  • Maintain a safe working environment for team members, visitors, and contractors

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or inventory environment considered an asset
  • Forklift and reach truck certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Canadian driver's license required
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required for the role
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled in-office/warehouse hours

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience
