Job Summary

The Transportation and Shop Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and communicating the transportation of all new, used, off-lease, shop and rental equipment and coordinating open shop jobs. The Transportation and Shop Coordinator will effectively check-in rental returns, document repairs needed, damage incurred and communicate findings to the Rental Team, ensuring outbound equipment matches the customer's requirements. The ideal candidate will proactively communicate with internal and external customers, maintain the ability to set and follow inventory control standards by prioritizing, documenting, and organizing equipment movement.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate shop work with Shop Lead Technician and team; update visual aids (status boards, schedules).
 
Communicate essential information to relevant parties promptly.
 
Collaborate with field service team for seamless handoffs between field and shop.
 
Maintain site Shop Service WIP: review, update, invoice daily.
 

Promote ProLift Toyota Material Handling's values, mission and purpose of "Helping People Carry the Load" to ensure we are customers', vendors' and associates' "Indispensable Partner"

 

Educational/Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Transportation and Shop Coordinator role will have a High School degree or equivalent and at least one year of experience dispatching, preferably with material handling experience. They will display efficiency in Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, and Excel. The Transportation and Shop Coordinator communicates to internal and external customers, which requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will protect the organization's values by maintaining confidential information utilizing their ability to handle sensitive information.
