Major Account Manager


Department: Sales / Account Management
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Major Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with our most strategic and high-value clients. This individual will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue growth for the company. The Major Account Manager will serve as the main point of contact between the company and its Major accounts and will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed client expectations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with Major accounts.
  • Understand client business needs, challenges, and goals to offer effective solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Major accounts, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth communication.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Work closely with internal teams (sales, customer service, operations, etc.) to ensure client needs are met promptly.
  • Monitor and report on account performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular updates to senior management on account status and performance.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and terms with Major accounts.
  • Identify potential risks and work proactively to mitigate any issues that could impact the client relationship or the business.
  • Participate in account reviews and strategic planning meetings to ensure long-term success and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Related experience may be considered as a substitute for formal educational requirements.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development, with a demonstrated ability to manage high-value clients.
    • Previous experience as a Major Account Manager or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
    • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Other:
    • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
    • Ability to travel as required to meet with clients or attend industry events.
