Job Title: Material Handler
Position OverviewOur client in Roseville, MI is seeking a dependable Material Handler to join their team. The Material Handler is responsible for supplying production lines with the materials needed to maintain continuous operations. This position focuses on moving, staging, replenishing, and organizing materials on the production floor to ensure line workers can perform their jobs without interruption. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies directly to production line workers
  • Replenish line-side materials to prevent downtime
  • Stage materials at workstations according to production schedules
  • Verify correct part numbers and quantities before delivering to the line
  • Remove empty containers, scrap, and excess materials from production areas
  • Maintain organized and orderly material flow on the production floor
  • Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
  • Assist with changeovers by preparing and delivering required materials
  • Perform basic inventory checks of line-side materials
  • Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to supervisors
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
  • Follow all company safety and production procedures
  • Support production teams as needed to maintain workflow
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or production floor experience preferred
  • Ability to read part numbers, labels, and work orders accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
