MATERIAL HANDLER
Job Description
DWM Holdings is looking to fill a 2nd shift Material Handler position. This position is responsible for carrying out inventory management. This person reports directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager works closely with the Procurement Department, and is a member of the company's Production team.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out cycle counts in all zones in the timing required by procurement and production departments
• Carry out organization of all zones raw material stock in each zone.
• Assist in loading and unloading of all materials
• Assuring paperwork is properly carried out and properly documented in ERP system
• Assist production in any pole tracking and organization on production floors
• Assist in continuous improvement projects pertaining to all zones.
Other Responsibilities:
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
• Reads work orders and follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Continuously determines the material required for each production order and stages the materials in each Zone for the operator to maintain production process flow.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by crane, forklift or by hand.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using hand-operated crane or hoist.
• Assembles crates to contain products using hand tools and precut lumber.
• Restocks Zone bins, baskets, racks, pallets and cabinets within or near plant.
• Receives materials into facility and confirms materials against invoices to verify accuracy of the delivery; assists in inventory management
