Job description

Material Handler

Starting at $17.50/hr. | Full-Time 

Quality Enclosures is looking for a dependable, energetic Material Handler to support production operations at our Ronkonkoma manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, physically active role focused on keeping materials moving, work areas organized, and production departments operating efficiently.

This position may be a good fit for someone with experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, material handling, construction, or other physical work. The right candidate will have reliable attendance, a positive attitude, and the ability to stay productive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Move empty and loaded glass carts throughout the production floor.
  • Help prevent cart congestion and maintain an efficient flow of materials between departments.
  • Support production employees with material movement and general labor tasks.
  • Remove trash and help maintain a clean, organized facility.
  • Refill water coolers and distribute water to employees as needed.
  • Assist with housekeeping and 5S activities.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
  • Report unsafe conditions or material-handling concerns to a supervisor.
  • Complete additional production-support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous material-handling, warehouse, manufacturing, production, logistics, construction, or general labor experience is preferred.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Work around noise, dust, and manufacturing materials.
