Job description

Material Handler

The Material Handler assists with the production, distribution, receipt, and quality check of product, which is pulled from inventory and delivered to production areas. Communication and organization skills are essential for the Material Handler position. Reports to the Department Manager.

Compensation and benefits include medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, 401(k) retirement savings plan, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Supervisory responsibilities include none.

Essential duties and responsibilities include supporting planning, manufacturing, and production teams to manage work order jobs and deliver physical materials, working with the warehouse to receive critical material in the ERP system, working with the quality department to quality check critical material in the ERP system, organizing, scanning, and attaching documentation in the ERP system, delivering raw material and hardware to designated areas within the facility, ensuring correct material type and count for each job are correctly staged, ensuring proper material stocking levels and working with planning to identify and avoid shortages, operating area-appropriate machines, loading material, checking machine calibration, managing crosstrack inventory and utilizing EPICOR to reflect material issued from crosstrack, and coordinating material testing with the material test lab.

Education and experience include a high school diploma, preferred forklift certification, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management skills, strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook), ERP experience a plus, the use of stairs and occasionally lifting objects up to 95 lbs, and must be a U.S. citizen.

ITAR requirements include conforming to U.S. government export regulations, certain positions may require applicants to be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Travel requirements include no travel required for this position.
