Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. The Material Handler is responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, and products within the facility. This role ensures materials are available for production and helps maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, move, and stage materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Deliver raw materials and components to production lines in a timely manner.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, inspect for damage, and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts and physical inventory.
  • Properly store materials following safety and organizational guidelines.
  • Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Operate equipment safely and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and documentation of finished products.
  • Communicate effectively with production staff, supervisors, and other departments.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Valid forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
