Position

We are looking to add a full-time Material Handler/Picker/Packer/Shipper/Receiver to our team. This hybrid role will report directly to the Inventory Control Manager while also supporting the Purchasing department.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labelling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and recording location of inventory, and allocates inventory to proper area based on purchase orders.
  • Unload delivery trucks while verifying that shipments align with company purchase orders. Receive and inspect inbound shipments and record the inventory in Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV). Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Prepare outbound skids with finished product as required for customer orders. Includes identifying, locating, and packing inventory based on shipping requirements.
  • Prepare and print shipping labels.
  • Handle customer pick-ups. Operates a forklift to load, unload, or transport materials.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Pre-kit for automotive upfitting jobs. Involves a review of bill of materials (BOMs) for inventory requirements and picking and sorting inventory to meet those requirements.
  • This role will involve some Lot Attendant duties on Fridays for employees working a Tuesday-to-Friday schedule as needed. While completing that work, the rate of pay will remain the higher of the two functions.
  • Verify inventory and correct stock levels.
  • Participate in cycle counting and year-end physical inventory preparation and execution.
  • Accurate scanning and transaction processing in the NAV system.


Compensation and other Benefits

  • $22.00 to $26.00/hour
  • Includes Health, Dental, and Vision benefits and vacation.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and with integrity.
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to multitask and take direction.
  • Previous experience in a production and inventory control environment including a minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a Material Handler or related role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred. The ability to lift loads of up to 55lbs.
  • A positive attitude and customer service experience.
