Job description

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.
Our sights are set high and our problems are hard, and we believe that diversity in the workplace is what makes us smarter, drives better insights, and will ultimately lift us all to success. We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.
What you'll do:
  • Lead and coordinate daily warehousing activities for an assigned site and shift - inbound delivery coordination, receiving, inventory control, put-away, kitting, picking, packing, and outbound shipping - and act as the on-site and on-shift point of contact when the Warehouse Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Assign, prioritize, and check the work of warehouse material handlers; train new team members on system transactions, material handling procedures, and safety requirements; provide input on performance and staffing needs to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Execute and audit warehousing transactions in Archer's SAP-based ERP/WMS environment (SAP MM and SAP EWM), including goods receipt, put-away confirmation, stock transfers, cycle counts, and outbound delivery/shipment postings - driving on-time, on-quality transaction completion and the level of inventory accuracy the business needs.
  • Author, revise, and maintain standard work instructions, desktop procedures, and process workflows for core warehousing activities - receiving, storage, issuing, kitting, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting - ensuring documents are version-controlled, consistent across sites and shifts, and reflect current SAP transaction paths.
  • Investigate and drive root-cause resolution of inventory discrepancies, transaction errors, and cycle-count variances in partnership with the Warehouse Supervisor and the Materials/Planning teams.
  • Manage the physical receiving and shipping areas, ensuring parts and materials are stored, labeled, and handled per approved work instructions and the safety, ESD, and FOD requirements of an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to short- and medium-term goals for the Logistics team and participate in continuous improvement of warehousing processes to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and data accuracy.
  • Track and report site- and shift-level performance against key Logistics metrics, including on-time/on-quality receipts, inventory accuracy, and on-time/on-quality picking and shipping.
  • Support development, testing, and rollout of enhancements to Archer's ERP/WMS and to the broader logistics network, including participating in user acceptance testing and training rollout for new transactions or workflows.

What you need:
  • 3+ years of related experience in the aerospace, automotive, or another highly regulated manufacturing industry, including at least 1 year leading, training, or directing other warehouse or material-handling staff.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience executing warehousing transactions in an ERP/WMS system; SAP experience (SAP MM, SAP EWM, or SAP WM) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, technically accurate standard work instructions, SOPs, or process workflows for warehousing or manufacturing operations.
  • 2 years of related experience in domestic and international transportation management.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to lead, prioritize, and check the work of others across a site and shift.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional business manner, both in writing and verbally, including delivering on-the-job training to associates; high attention to detail is required.
  • Strong computer skills; comfort navigating ERP/WMS transaction screens, MS Office (Excel in particular), and warehouse scanning/RF equipment. WMS/TMS experience beyond SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment with adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Strong team player and hands-on leader, able to work alongside the team as well as direct it.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lb (11 kg) unassisted.
  • Must be able to visually distinguish colors.
  • Open to 2nd shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.).

Education
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Bonus Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business.
  • SAP certification or formal SAP end-user training (SAP MM, SAP WM, or SAP EWM).
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Experience with shipping and handling of Dangerous Goods (e.g., IATA/DG certification).
  • Lean/Six Sigma or continuous-improvement experience.
