Group Leader-Material Handler IV

Job Description

The Trainer will support Operations training needs by providing on job training for department teammates. Review and analyze work instructions, training materials and recommend changes if needed. This position will be responsible for…

  • Perform on job training for new and current teammates.
  • Perform cross training for teammates.
  • Proficient in multiple processes with the ability to train on the process.
  • Identify inability to learn tasks and present materials in multiple ways to help employees understand.
  • Perform work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulations. Report unsafe conditions or accidents to the appropriate person.
  • Work with the Training Lead to ensure all the EHS responsibilities are adhered to.
  • When not performing the duties of the trainer they are to be supporting the Operation.
  • Work on special projects and process improvement initiatives as directed.
  • All other related duties as assigned.

Safety and Security

  • Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe environment.
  • All injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards or conditions must be reported immediately.
  • Report any suspicious persons or activity.

Sanitation and Housekeeping

  • Maintain a clean and professional image.
  • To ensure the cleanliness of the facility, follow guidelines as outlined.
  • The associate must maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area at all times.
Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • General distribution knowledge.
  • The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations and potential temperature excursions.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation.
  • 5 years distribution/warehouse experience preferred.
