Job description

The Material Handler is a frontline manufacturing support role responsible for the safe and timely movement of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring materials are staged, delivered, and removed efficiently while maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Pay: $19.00  per hour - $25.00 per hour

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Forklift or powered industrial truck experience preferred (certification required or willingness to obtain)
Ability to follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures
Basic math, reading, and documentation skills
Experience with inventory systems or scanners a plus
Manufacturing plant or production facility

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials and components
Transport materials to production lines, work cells, or storage areas according to production schedules
Load, unload, and stage materials using pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, or other material handling equipment (as certified)
Remove finished goods, scrap, and recyclable materials from production areas
Accurately label, scan, and track materials using inventory or manufacturing systems
Perform routine material counts and assist with cycle counts as needed
Maintain organized, clean, and safe material storage and staging areas
Follow all manufacturing safety requirements, including lockout/tagout awareness, PPE use, and proper lifting techniques
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Communicate material shortages, damages, or delays to supervisors and production teams
Comply with all quality, safety, and housekeeping standards
Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations
