Dental Hygienist: Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct oral health assessments, inclusive of oral cancer and other periodontal diseases.
  • Perform thorough dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar and stains from teeth.
  • Take, develop and review dental x-rays.
  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride.
  • Assist the dentist with patient examinations and conduct follow-up treatment as directed.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and overall dental health.
  • Document patient dental history and maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
  • Adhere to all infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines.
