Job description

Materials Logistics Associate
Location: Austin, TX 78741
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00pm 10:30pm  
Pay rate: Maximum hourly rate 30$/h.
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 6-month duration (temporary only, possible extension according to performance)
Key Responsibilities
  • Material Flow & Delivery: Handle dock-to-production material movement via forklifts and manual methods; uncrate critical components and prep milk-runs for assembly lines.
  • Systems & Inventory: Use warehouse IT systems (e.g., SAP) to track parts, pull materials according to production schedules, and resolve inventory errors.
  • Operations & Maintenance: Maintain 5S work area standards, adhere to strict PPE and safety protocols, and support indirect material storage for internal stakeholders.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate directly with warehouse and production teams to keep assembly lines running efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing sector.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency (MS Office); SAP experience preferred.
  • Physical & Operational Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate heavy machinery, hold a valid driver's license with a clean MVR, and supply composite toe safety shoes (ASTM F 2412/2413 compliant) on Day one.
  • Screening & Soft Skills: Must pass a background check and drug screen; require strong problem-solving under pressure, excellent communication, and a high urgency, "get it done" attitude.
