Job description

Material Handler Associate

The Material Handler Associate will work along the conveyor to ensure that the incoming and outgoing shipments are handled accurately and efficiently. They will also support the receiving activities. This individual will be expected to personify our Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Processing outgoing patient orders through the sorter.
  • Processing outgoing patient orders at the manual manifest station.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing patient orders.
  • Receiving incoming shipment from various carriers.
  • Organizing the daily outgoing orders to the appropriate carriers
  • Demonstrates superior written and verbal skills to communicate with internal counterparts to resolve patient issues.
  • Embody AnewHealth's Core Values in all communications and interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma/GED required.

Experience

  • Must be 18+ years of age. High school diploma/GED required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Must be able to lift 75+ pounds,
  • Ability to use a pallet jack and scissor lift.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use multiple software programs to fulfill medication orders.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Passion to help people and enrich their lives.

Physicals/Mental Demands

  • Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including stretching, bending, stooping, and crouching while moving equipment and supplies.
  • Occasionally climb stairs and maneuver heavy equipment through tight spaces within patient residences.
  • Provide thorough equipment assessments and perform necessary maintenance as required.
  • Safely drive a delivery van or truck through various weather conditions, including hazardous conditions when necessary.
  • Must be able to identify and mitigate safety hazards during deliveries and equipment setup.
  • Travel to both urban and rural locations to service patients.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
